While driving on the freeway, traffic came to a sudden stop and to avoid an accident, I switched lanes into the carpool lane. I happened to pull into that lane in front of a CHP officer and he pulled me over for a carpool violation. Do I stand a chance in court, because I only switched lanes to prevent an accident as well as to prevent injury?
